Just going to use a term, lone female, like another member, but spelt so there's no doubts!
Ive joined as I have an iPhone, and (my son converted me)  a 2nd hand Macbook when I arrived back in NZ.  I was perfectly happy with my 7 yr old microsoft laptop, but my kids are trying to keep me up to date technologically.  So I have had no end of frustrations over the past two years (my daughters hand me down iPhone 3GS necessary as I can't see smaller screens!).  
I've experienced technical forums with cars, and found members have been extremely helpful even though they know they are dealing with someone who is inexperienced, naive but willing to learn, and I hope this forum will be the same.
 I came to the site searching for help with a broken down iPhone - there is nothing like the internet when it comes to solutions.  
Said IT astute son is too busy to ask or explain, daughter just buys something new when device goes wrong - not my option.
