Hello Geekzone!

I recently moved from the eastern USA to Auckland and want to settle here. I worked in a university as a research associate in the field of Industrial Engineering and was the key developer and team leader for various projects involving body motion detection, natural interaction, mobile locating, Internet of Things, distributed computing, etc. I have rich experience in C#, VB, Node.js, and SQL/NoSQL database. I have created patents in voice encoding, mobile device, location service, and digital security. I hope to find a developer/support/consultant/training job in ICT area.

I am also trying to develop my own business based on Bitcoin/Blockchain technology. The dream is to create a global P2P bank that offers the cheapest money moving cost and does not have the branch offices on the street at all, but rather make everyone be able to be an agent of the bank, and the profit is distributed to everyone participated in. I look forward to knowing geeks who are interested in these areas:
- who have experience and resource in financing businesses (banking/payment/lending/remittance) and have the interest to be a business partner to create innovative technology that changes the banking industry
- developers who are good at frontend or mobile development technologies
- artists who want to jump in the future of digital assets

I am also in fond of hydroponics/aquaponics/aeroponics and had gained good experience in my test flight. I have resources in home use and commercial aquaponic farms. It will be good to know people interested in this area.

Thanks!

Hey bro,

Welcome to Auckland / New Zealand ...

You sound like a pretty incredible person to know it's great to have you on the site, don't be afraid to reply to posts if you can help out .

If your looking to meet like minded people in Auckland I have found meet up.com and look for IT meet ups and you will connect with some pretty cool people easily.

What made you decide to live in our beautiful country?

And are you team apple or team droid or team WP?

Oh and don't be offended if people call you bro, it's a kiwi thing....

-Steve.

Thanks for the welcome! US has very restricted policies regarding financial innovation to keep the barrier of the banks and big companies. It's the time for the change and NZ has friendly regulations in this area. I hope it can attract more people here.
