Hello everyone

Not only new to geekzone but also to New Zealand. Just moved here a few weeks ago.

My interest is networking and communications, with focus on Cisco equipment, which is also my job. Although I am not really a PC geek, I quite often fiddle around with Linux and Windows boxes.

Looking through the posts in the forum provides a great overview of what's going on here in NZ. I hope I can give some hints from time to time.

I live in Wellington.

Igi

Welcome mate, I'm calling NZ home now too, after 15 years being here. What part of the globe are you from?

Zurich, Switzerland is where I'm coming from.

I have often called NZ my second home. Since my first visit over 20 years ago, I regularily returned for my holidays. 10 years ago I worked in Auckland for about a year.

Back in Switzerland I quite often I felt kind of "homesick" to NZ. That's why I just give it another try to start a life here.

hmm Switzerland is probably one of the countries I would like to visit within the next 2 years and on my top 3 list of places to retire in.

It is one of the dearer countries to live. When you also work there, the higher salary compensates this but for a holiday or to retire you must start saving early ;-)
