Hi Guys,

Just thought i'd slip in and say hello. I'm from Scotland and wanted to join an IT group/forum because i'll be moving to NZ hopefully quite soon, and would like to know what stuff is going on there :)

I'm a network support officer for a private school in Glasgow and the admin for thier site www.theglasgowacademy.org.uk
I deal with basically everything and anything to do with servers, desktops and printers, when my boss isnt around lol

I also like to build my own pc's and recently built a new gaming rig, based on P35 intel chipset, and a Quad core Q6600 G0 stepping 2.4Ghz CPU, over clocked to 3.0Ghz (i'm sure you'll sleep tonight knowing that)

So.....no doubt you'll see me logged in here, looking at stuff, and randomly replying to things, but if you need anything i'll try and help, while i leech info for my impending move :P

thanks

Paul

(Puts away the Scottish joke book)

Welcome :)
Where abouts in NZ are you looking at moving to ?

And feel free to leech any knowledge I may have...  but please read clause 23 from section 32 of my operating manual. "I cannot be held responsible for any drop in IQ levels after listening/reading any dribble posted by myself"

Is that why I feel so stupid lately?

Welcome to Geekzone.  Plenty of people here will be more than able to offer helpful advice.

Any particular time-frame in mind for your move?

Well i'm currently doing my MCSA, and a couple of other things, so i plan to jet over next September (2009) i know its ages away, but i want to make sure i'm well prepared before i drag my family over there. MY wife is dead keen to come too :) My kids are young enough to just take it for what it is, an exciting journey lol If i can get over sooner i will, but thats the plan :P

Please dont put the joke books away, i quite like a good laugh Laughing
