Hi Guys,
I'm Fred Kaiser, from Brazil, currently living in Hamilton.
I have moved to NZ 4 months ago, I am working in the City Council in IT area.

I have a degree of Computer Science from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES in Brazil).
The reason I am here is just because I've met a kiwi girl in Spain in the begining of last year and now we are engaged.

My interests are:
Free software, open source, Linux (Slackware, Vector and Ubuntu). I like programming in PHP and mysql.
Love extreme sports and travelling.

It's a pleasure to be part of this forum and hope I can add something and help this forum!

Sorry about my uncorrect english but I'm doing my best to learn as fast as I can!

Cheers,
Fred

Hello Fred... Welcome to Geekzone and New Zealand.

I also moved here from Brazil, but almost twelve years ago. You should make an effort and try to join us in our next Geekzone Pizza evening in Hawkes Bay (sorry AKL and WLG are gone now).

Hey Freitas.

It's pretty far away from here. What a shame.
I think its impossible to me to get there in a thursday afternoon and get back here in the same day (i have to work on Friday).

Maybe next time or in a event a bit closer.

Anyways, thanks for the invitation!

Good to see theres brazilians around here. I havent met any brazilians in Hamilton. Only nzealanders, south africans and english people!

It's 19th July - Saturday. You'd be surprised - we had some people flying from Auckland to the event in Wellington, people from Wellington, Hamilton and other places going to Auckland, and a bunch of us flying for the Christchurch one (5th July).
