Hi everyone,

New to the site.  Ex pat Aussie so be nice :)

IT background 10+ years.  Now run a couple of small businesses here in Auckland based around IT services and IT product sales (see URLs in sig).

Used to LAN quite heavily back home but was never able to find any nice sized LANs over here aside from XLAN, which isn't for me as I much prefer smaller events(30 to 200ppl).  Do people know of any Auckland monthly LANs?  Do you think people would be interested if one was setup?

Adrian

But we've only just met!

Actually I am a firm believer in referral business and always show my appreciation to people who refer business my way.

I would be happy to send out an extra gift with purchase to any GeekZone users who make use of the site (limit of one per person) any referrals to the site will also get you another gift (unlimited).  Just get them to put a comment on the purchase indicating your Geekzone username and I'll get in touch.

Alternatively if you can get the site some extra publicity I'll also send out some freebies.

On another note, can anyone answer my Auckland lannage question?  Any decent ones out here?

Adrian

Hey Adrian,

Welcome to Geekzone.

I've been in IT in Auckland for the last 8 or so years and haven't heard much on the Lanning side to be frank.

I used to do some smaller LAN gigs in Chirstchurch (10-20), but never really got back into it in Auckland (family commitments and all that.)

I would be interested in hearing if one was coming up though (I have friends that would prolly be interested too.)
