Hi Geekzoners, lurkers and trolls :p ,

I have been looking for a great NZ forum and stumbled over Geekzone while searching for some DIY advice for a deck. Awesome community you have here.

I am not from NZ nor do I reside in NZ, but I have been working for NZ as a Freelancer for the last 10 years as a designer and draftsman for timber framed homes.

I virtually live somewhere in Christchurch or Auckland spending a lot of time on Google Streetview looking at homes and sites. So if I may, I have lots of question for Kiwi's, specially around the building industry.

I also enjoy 3D printing with my Chinese Imported, Anet A8 . I named it Mr. Squeaky.  

I do some music recording now and then.

I just discovered how awesome Zoom Conference calling software is as an alternative to Skype. Wish I discovered it earlier. 

I don't have much time for playing games, but I am currently playing Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor when I get a gap (on PC!).

P.S. Are there other NZ designers, builder and architects around here? Maybe dedicated thread for technical questions regarding building standards etc.?I also don't mind giving my input and answer questions around the building standards and clauses and Mr. Squeaky.
