I had a regular Facebook page but because of harrassing post, I deactivated it. I reported and blocked the harrasser but she recruited friends.
She has now created a “Facebook blog” with my name and lists horrible things about me and my husband. I have reported the page as fake and harrassing but when I try to report it as a page that is impersonating me, you have to give the the URL of the impersonating page and it says it is invalid.
What do I do? I’m making myself sick over this!

I do not understand why a group of people would bother doing what you say on Facebook in a personal nature. Sure if you owned a business that did or you personally did some unfavorable things I would expect that to be the case.

The reason why you can't provide the URL is because they will be blocking your account from all of theirs. So you won't be able to see any of it, get it off someone else..

Just make sure that if you take it any further in NZ, that this is actually Slander against you and not freedom of speech. Are they spreading honest horrible things or not?

Someone else did provide me with the URL because I can’t see it because I no longer have Facebook.
I still have no idea how to report it.

You need to be a member of Facebook to report it, You can have them report it for you.
Honestly speaking, reporting comments won't go very far. Not exactly hard to make another comment and they won't get banned. Will just be a vicious cycle that feeds the interests in the people doing it. Don't give them the attention they are seeking.

People are entitled to freedom of speech at the end of the day. If what they are saying is true and is not something considered bullying or slander or breaching the privacy act, legally they have every right to say it.

I also see on your profile you say you are located in the USA. This is a New Zealand based forum and most people here are going to be speaking of laws and cultural practices that are relevant to New Zealand not so much USA.. I know in the USA they are crazy about suing people, have you spoken with a Lawyer yet?

Sounds like more than just comments, but an actual page/group setup for defamation / harassment.

FB will shut it down once they've been notified via official channels.

No I have not spoken with a lawyer yet. I was just interested at this point in time of having someone help me get the page off Facebook. I was just informed about it and saw pictures of it.
I’m sure I’ll get it figured out here in the USA!

That’s the problem.... you try to report the page to Facebook and it tells you the URL in not valid.

They must have the wrong URL or a URL specific to themselves.
This is a group URL: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1030340647063062/?fref=nf
Personal URL: https://www.facebook.com/(USERNAME)

This is the process to report a page and person. Have someone who can view the page report it as per my screen shots below. You should not need a specific URL.
