Hi All,

My name's Joseph, I'm an west Auckland based geek.

I'm an Apple service engineer by day, family man by night.

My tech interests are... Apple computer (including some home-brew projects with recycled mac components), iPhone, my new Sony Bravia KDL-40V4000, Google Earth (with 3Dconnexions Space Navigator, my favourite USB device!)

, Sketchup 3D modeling, and geeking around making GPS tracks.

I enjoy trying to retrofit old tech with new innards, I'm currently working on a 1970's tape echo box (Echo-Dek) and am converting to a media-playing machine, with MacBook innards and a USB analog joystick controller for external buttons and pots. Other projects are iBook bits made into picture frames, and I'm also working on a old-school Kodak pocket camera into which I've installed an iSight camera.

I'm also a [very] amateur astronomer with a basic telescope, and enjoy all things space-related.

See you in the forums!

Cheers,

Joseph.
