Hi all,
I'm here because I'm on the journey of trying to understand the ins and outs (literally) of my home theatre system and the components of it. I have some aging bits and some new bits and will be looking to replace the old bits with new kit. I am supposedly technically savvy having worked in IT for 20+ years but there's an awful of of new acronyms to learn and what they do.
So I'll try and read the FAQs before sending in the dumb questions ;)

Nice one Woody.  I'm kind of in the same boat, having recently acquired a mchine that I'm trying to set up as an HTPC, but without much joy so far...  Welcome to the'zone!
