Kia ora, finally got round to putting up some posts after joining over a year ago
Im a network admin working for an insurance company in Auck. Been working IT support having started in London in 2000 during an OE. Started in application support, started the path towards being a SQL DBA now I mostly play with Cisco boxes, favs being PIX and ASA firewalls followed by wireless. Fair bit of exposure to Telecom, TelstraClear now Vector. Try to maintain the VoIP system here - Call Manager + IPFX - losts of fun.

At home just converted to Linux, worshipping the god Ubuntu in its Jaunty reincarnation. Just built a new box with E8400 Core2duo + NVidia GT9500 (all I could spend) and now spending nights tinkering with that instead of sleeping.
