my name is Dylan. I live in sunny Dunedin.

I work in IT, mainly hardware support maintaining a dozen or so networked weather stations scattered along the Milford rd monitoring for avalanches. Various evironmental sensors ouputing to Cambell Sci Cr1000's. Recently upgraded the network from Tait VHF/UHF radios to IP network using Freewave radios. Also some radio repeater stuff.

You can never have too many gadgets

Sounds like quite a cool job. Have always been interested in radio, repeaters etc but have never gotten into them. Nice to have a job where you get to go outside and enjoy the surprisingly good Dunedin weather.
