Hi folks,

Freitasm suggested that I post up here and intro myself.  You can call me Charlie.

I'm definitely a g33k but just as much an all-rounder / inventor.  I've been coding since I was 8 which was a looong time ago.

During the day I'm an SEO & Social Media consultant working for corporates in NZ and across the ditch, and in the evening I contribute to a range of web-based business projects.

In my daytime capacity I'm interested/skilled in: Digital Strategy, SEO, PPC, Social Media, Usability and Service Design/Channel Integration.  In other words I try to make interweb things that work and try to stay away from servers - although I do play with those too.

Personal interests include various web projects/apps, writing twitters apps, multitouch UI (for retail/business), home automation & AI, and a whole load of things on the back burner.   At home I'm often coding, cooking, or building things in the shed.

I also like playing guitar well, and some other instruments badly, taking photographs, mountain bike and climbing (mostly bouldering and some sport climbing).  I've also lately enjoyed jumping off cliffs into water, but I'm not sure that's a sport really.

My final geeky obsession is my Porsche 944 which is, in cold objectivity, not much more than a liability :)

Kia Ora!

Nice intro, good to have more guitarists here at GZ!

I aspire to playing guitar well, but alas fall well short...
