Hi Disenchanted, (tony) and Freitasm (Mauricio)

Thanks for the welcome :-), I teach NZQA certificates in Computing, Business Admin, and Employment Skills to under 18 year olds...... fun! but stressful (you gotta have your witts about you).

what's this about a giraffe lol, at least you got a pic, they obviously still haven't cleared mine! Probably think I look to offensive to the eye....lol how long does that normally take? I was expecting to see it this morning! now Im wondering if I did it right........... never mind a little mystery goes far.

They take a couple of days to approve images... The service is a great idea - and I didn't want to code our own avatar system, since this one can be used in other blogs. Just a bit slow. But that's ok, it guarantees we don't get some rated pictures.

This is the thing with "web 2.0 mashup" (I am throwing the buzzword du jour on this one): using services and APIs from here and there.

wannabeegeekchick: Hi Disenchanted, [snip] what's this about a giraffe lol, at least you got a pic, they obviously still haven't cleared mine!

Private joke that makes me laugh. My MSN pic is a giraffe drawn by a child, and the caption is written by an adult "What the f c * k - is that a Giraffe??" (In a derogatory manner...). Add to that I am 6'7"...

Clearing pics can take hours to days. Mauricio is going to code the ability for us to change pics on here I think (if we are nice enough to him).

Cheers...
