Hey All

I'm Rob from the mecca known as Palmerston North.  I'm a long time lurker and first time poster.  I spend my days offering IT, communications and AV support at a local library at one of our many tertiary institutions.

My pet bugbear with technology is users getting limbered with equipment that they either can't use, has problems from the get-go, or  they have been upsold equipment that offers far more than the user requires at higher prices (I'm not generalising here with sales people, but it does happen).  And I have been known to spend a lot of time helping people avoid these pitfalls.

My other interests include cars, specifically Holdens, Aussie V8 Supercars, and NZ Military history.

Cheers, and see you around

Rob
