I'm a bit of a computer junkie I guess - I've been fixing and building computers for about 15 years.
Starting to look for new challenges these days.
I've never got into web design, and am now regretting it because there are still a lot of possibilities out there.
Not a big social networking fan, but that's where the potential is.
I've been having a look at Facebook and Twitter - Obvious brilliant and successful concepts, but I find Facebook a bit boring, and Twitter a bit inane - I don't really want to know that Jaquie Brown is presently eating Gelato!
Looking at what attracts people to these sights is interesting, and begs the question - what if you could exploit this enthusiasm in different and even more powerful ways. What if you could give everybody their fifteen minutes of fame, but extend it indefinitely, in a far more creative and meaningful way.
It's all very well Stepen Fry having a million followers on Twitter, but what about the average joe? Is he/she always destined to be a follower? Gerry Springer gave people their fifteen minutes of fame - he did it well but it was nasty! Ellen and Oprah just have followers. And you have to at least think you have talent to go on X Factor. But Nek Minute has shown the potential of inspiration. What if the focus of Twitter became more on the individual, rather than the celebrity? There is a way of doing this. What if people went online looking for - themselves!
Looking for the next big idea, I think I've found one that has potential - no one else seems to be doing it, which is a surprise, so I've registered some domain names and might give it a go.
Looking for a Mark Zukerburg wannabe that would be capable of setting up a Facebook/Twitter type social site - it will at least be fun, it won't be inane, and you just never know - we both could end up billionaires!
