the surface book is one sexy device; very impressive, with an impressive price tag as well but still it packs a wallop; loved how they revealed the tablet features very smart :)

NSA requirement for US citizens? :P

I love the hinge design, not sure having the GPU in the keyboard will make everybody happy all of the time

This is a serious assault on Apple though, fingers crossed continuum is as good as promised and I reckon we are witnessing the second coming of MS

It has a "Windows Hello" approved camera for facial recognition. From what I've read this should be pretty secure unless someone 3D printed your head.

But the trade-off is that with the keyboard detached this thing looks like it will be very thin and light. If I am reading the specs right, the Surface Book is lighter even with it's keyboard attached that the Surface pro 4 is without a keyboard. presumably the screen portion would have had to be thicker and heavier if they had put the GPU in the screen.

EDIT: I must have been reading the weight WITHOUT the keyboard. With the keyboard it is certainly not lighter than the Pro 4.

Am I right in saying the Surfacebook has no ports in tablet mode? All the demo video's seem to show ports on the base only.
Looks great though, really impressed with this new Microsoft. They are releasing really solid products with great functionality.

I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to secure the device. More just interested in why a feature like a finger print sensor is a region locked.
