I use Free Down Load Manager.

It works well with everything that I do.

IDM - works as standalone and is also integrated with browsers

have used for years now - reliable and maximises my connection

worth a look imho

Free Download Manager as mentioned above is nearly identical in look and feel to Internet Download Manager from Tonec. However, it used to have some junkware / adware bundled with it so I'm not sure if that is still happening. If you are on a budget it's good, but I have to be honest, it simply is nowhere near as good as IDM. IDM is constantly updated and is hands-down the best windows based download manager I have ever found - I never buy software and almost always go free / open source and I paid for an IDM license.

I mainly use a manager to login to a ftp site, so FDM works really well for that.
