Hello again! It seems I can't even get to the bios menu. or anything.. Whatever key I press nothing happens. I think the RAM is faulty.. what do you think??

As I bought this off Trade Me, I think both of them is faulty as none work in my laptop!

I would find it highly unlikely that both sticks would be faulty, More likely that for one reason or another that particular RAM is not compatible with your laptop.

(I'm not familiar with the actual cause however it is not uncommon for this sort of thing to happen particularly with cheaper/less common brands of RAM and propriety systems even though the RAM meets the stated general specifications)

Had you bought it from a shop you would have a clear return and refund path should it not be faulty but buying off Trademe leaves you in more of a grey area but you could try for a refund all the same.

You need to enter the bios when the other ram is in there.

I would be surprised if it does not provide settings for memory. Maybe post up some pictures of it.

Well it does show the memory stats, but once you put in the new RAM you can't even get to the bios screen. Also you can't change the RAM settings on it.
