Hi team,

IMHO, irrespective of the nature of the laptop (thin margins, big name retailer, refurbished or new) all products carry an implied warranty.

Still working through all this. My luck seems to be never-ending, I opted to upgrade to another laptop (really didn't want to, on principle, but they had no stock of the original model) to a superior model for a small amount of money. Received the next laptop and well, the [[expletive]]ing battery is dead (won't charge)...

While a separate issue - just another straw to the donkey's back!

I'd demand a refund immediately and buy from somewhere else.

I don't know what you're paying, but ill bet you can get a reasonable new machine for a similar price.
