The new devices look great with very good spec's. It's a pity they did not include a bit more connectivity.

freitasm: FTA: "Those numbers are painful to look at; it's like being hit around the head with dollar signs. The cheapest Surface Pro 3 at these prices will be $300 dearer than the cheapest iPad Air, and $170 more expensive than the cheapest with cellular."

What a load... He should compare the Surface prices to a MacBook Pro - we're talking an Intel i3, i5 or i7 laptop with convenient touch screen and up to 512GB storage. This is no "iPad-class" device.

the public have no idea though ... so maybe something the same price or cheaper than the ipad will bring it to its knees

billgates: How is Windows not optimised for 1920 x 1080 which is what the Surface Pro uses? Or which application that is not optimised for 1920 x 1080?

Creative apps like Adobe CS.  Microsoft can blame who it likes, but Adobe software still isn't user friendly on high DPI devices..a real pain with the inaccurate Wacom pen (even after calibration) that is included.

Any knowledge of which specific i3/i5/i7 it has, and what's the graphics chip - HD4400 or HD4000 or something? Microsoft hides the CPU/GPU details very well.

Weight is 1.1KG right? I imagine the type cover (let's be honest you can't work effectively with a touchscreen keyboard) adds another 200g.
