Behodar:

How's the battery? I've seen at least one brand of laptop with "micro-freezes" like that when the battery's bad.

I'll do a battery report once Windows has finished installing. Seemed fine though.

Any sources you can post?  Be good to review...

A lot is not public yet but Daniel has posted a good break down on what it exactly does.

The good thing is its open source so you can browse through their GitHub and see exactly what they do, Here is the main removal of the security features

Atlas/Disable Hyper-V and VBS (default).cmd at main · Atlas-OS/Atlas · GitHub
Atlas/Disable UAC (default).cmd at main · Atlas-OS/Atlas · GitHub
Atlas/config.yml at main · Atlas-OS/Atlas · GitHub

Not read through the whole thread but bet it's graphics drivers. Have seen this before with laptops with the crappy old AMD 'Dual Graphics' setup.

Normally the resolution for me has been remove the graphics drivers WHEN OFFLINE (DDU works well), then install the latest graphics driver package FROM HP, again offline. That ought to sought it (assuming the issue is as mentioned).

If you run DDU then check if the issue is resolved, that confirms it is the graphics driver, or a possibility of a physical graphics related issue.

Can all be turned on again however without issue if you read the AtlasOS site.
