CamH:

What is the issue that they've tried 3 times to fix? When did the issue present itself? We used to sell quite a few Lenovo's and Lenovo came to the party a few times on faults out of warranty.

Screen doesn't turn on always. Replaced it. No good. Replaced 2 motherboards. No good.

Monitor I think is fine but it dies have a mind of its own. When it does turn on it works flawlessly until it goes to sleep and that's when I cannot wake up the screen.

Sounds like windows / drivers problem more than hardware

Reinstalled the OS but that didn't fix it.

jonb: Even with enterprise support level Lenovo were crap in my experience, if it's urgent only option is buy another device. CGA as above for some money or fixed again at some point hopefully

CGA does not register with Lenovo unfortunately.

It is not up to them to "register" the CGA. It's your right.

Small claims it is then.

Sorry you need a machine now but it won't be solved quickly.

By "register" in this context, I take that as meaning Lenovo not acknowledging their CGA obligations, not actually registering anything via forms etc.

Microsoft have no clue of CGA either, as I discovered a few years ago while trying to get an XBox fixed for a known fault....... gave up in the end - spent $10 on the part and 30mins installing it.

Pretty much if its a large US owned compnay, you're in for the long haul trying to get stuff done under CGA.

@heavenlywild If it is a drivers issue reinstalling the OS is not really going to help!

you need to go and check the drivers for each device and maybe install different drivers

I've checked the drivers on the Lenovo site but no luck in fixing the issue. I have reinstalled the display drivers too.

And that's exactly what I meant. It's not up to them to "acknowledge" the CGA. It exists and they have to deal with it.

If it's not fixed now they have to give you the option of refund or replace.

The issue is they aren't offering such options. I'm basically left to my own devices, mind the pun.

Exactly why you have to find how to serve them and take to small claims.
