Saves about $100-200 NZD after you factor in GST and shipping.  Hardly seems worth it given you loss CGA protection and local access to return/repair.

Buy Asus or Toshiba which offer international warranty. Asus has 2 years on most of their products while low end products only have 1 year. Toshiba is 1 year international.

Neither Asus or Toshiba have an ION model netbook out yet though.

Seems worth it to me. Cheaper, and you get the product when it comes out and not a few months later.

FWIW, I'm hating the keyboard and touchpad on my 311. I can't use the keyboard at all and have to plugin an external kb and mouse (I touch type).
