I wouldn't buy either right now, as far I know there is a refresh to all Apple laptops due within the next few months.

Yea, try and hold out till june, they should be releasing new models buy then. Im thinking of the 13" model, the 11" is just too small for the price.

My wife is an international flight attendant and has the 11" for travelling, and she loves it. For her it's the perfect size while she's away, especially for using it while sitting on a couch or in bed, it seems to sit on her legs or lap quite well and doesn't feel big. The MacBook Air also suits due to its thin size and weight, which also helps with travelling.

So if you're looking at getting one for travelling you can't go wrong with the 11", but to be honest I don't think you could go wrong with the 13" either. Have a play with both of them in a shop somewhere and see what you think, although I find that in a shop the 11" looks so small, but in reality it's a damn good size.

Remember also that the aspect ratio of the 11" is 16:9 while the 13" is 16:10.

It think the main disadvantage of the 11" versus the 13" is the battery life; 5 hours compared to 7 hours for the 13".

I measure battery life in number of movies I can play without power  - does either of these reach 2? :   ).
