Harvey Norman or the Samsung store's should have them as a start. Workmate has the 13 inch version, very nice laptop, the Matte screen looks great.

They had one in the Christchurch re:start centre for a while, I assume they have them elsewhere too.

Thanks to this thread, I ended up buying the NP900X3C (13.3") - very nice device!

(I'd been idly thinking about a new laptop, this was just the catalyst I needed)

Good! Nice laptop indeed. The speed boot is awesome! Not even a macbook pro can beat it.

Whats your WEI?

My what?

Nah, I'm running Debian. I think it had a 5.x on the bloatware encumbered edition of Win7 Home something before I purged it with great prejudice.

Yeah, I have gear provided for work by work ;). I need to fire up the dying-a-nasty-death desktop to copy the win7 VM off, and grab some old data, so it'll be interesting to see how well win7 performs in a VM on this.

Still a damn nice device. I love the weight (or lack of it). Glad I got the 13.3" and not the 15".. size is perfect to be luggable.

Even 15' is not heavy. I love the big screen.

Size matters.

You're compensating.

Where'd you get the X4C? I didn't see any around the various vendors in Dunedin. And only HN and JB had the X3C. Managed to bash HN down by ~$300 I think it was.

Lol!

Ah, I bought it in Dubai.

The good thing about this laptop is it has International Warranty.

I was looking at the NP900X3C as well, but I think I may skip this generation and persist with my existing laptop which is good, just not very portable.

You guys that have had the machine for a few weeks though - what's the keyboard like for typing?

(and how does HD4000 graphcis get 6.5 out of 7.9 for gaming?)

I enjoy it a lot. Anything in particular you need to know?

Have a look at some review. Apparently X4C is good enough to run latest games with moderate setting

I had a look at reviews which were generally glowing apart from the dongles required for everything and the lack of travel and tactile feedback in the keys on the keyboard. Obviously this issue is a problem to some extent of lots of laptop keyboards, but I believe its especially an issue on the series 9 due to the ultra slim profile.

But I don't know if its actually a big deal or if they are just nitpicking because they couldn't find much else. How Have you found the keyboard? If you had to use a laptop as your primary computer, would this one be it?

Regarding the X4C - I don't think its being sold here officially.. at least I didn't find it on the samsung nz page..
