Hi, first time poster so apologies ahead of time if this has been discussed. Did a search but couldn't find anything.
I recently was given two Dell Latitude ST Slate Tablets from one of our regional offices. They're running Windows 7. Idea was to use them for product launches. However, after getting them back to NZ, I know why they were given to me...
Never have I used a more frustrating product. The whole thing is like playing with a house of cards in a windstorm. It crashes and freezes up entirely too easy. Our in house IT guy had a review of it and the overall performance is rated at 2.1 out of 7.9. And even trying to touch something on the screen, you need needle-like fingers to actually hit what you want. Also, I've noticed sometimes after crashing and forcing a shut down, it then starts up with 'hit F1 or F2' at the beginning. Hello - no keyboard??? How can you hit that???
Making a long story short, my questions - 1) How and why would MSFT and Dell even put such a piece of crap out on the market. What were they thinking?? Was it just to meet a deadline and have something that looked like a tablet?
2) Is it possible to upgrade a tablets hardware - RAM?
I'm tempted to chuck them out at the moment. Or they do make good oversized coasters...but an actual tablet...there's no way I'd put these in front of any customer to use for any product launch.
Thanks
