Have been looking at win8 tablets for a couple of weeks now and have narrowed it down to the W510 or XE500T, both are very similar spec other than screen size and the s pen, Acer has price advantage and powered keyboard but Samsung generally seems like it might be a more premium product.

I am looking at purchasing one or the other in the Boxing Day sales so would appreciate any opinions or advice from the boards

Acer W510. It's really really good. Buy it with the Keyboard combo. Computer Lounge has good pricing on these. Take a look at price spy as well. Remember one thing that both of these have 3rd gen Atom CPU. Do not expect top notch gaming, photo or video editing performance out of these CPU's.

Battery life is great on the other hand.

I think if I can get a W510 combo for 20% off it starts looking quite attractive beside the Samsung, just not sure if the s pen is a worthy feature or not
