The part that normally connects the cable to the board was damaged so I had to remove it. i was planning to solder the LVDS cable directly onto the board but i noticed that there was 2 extra pins where the connector was than there is on the cable which had 30. this is the part that got me. im guessing there are some pins im supposed to miss, but which ones?
be aware that i turned the cable upside down in this picture to show the pins.
if anyone could help me out here i would greatly appreciate it. im not trying to get a graceful fix here, im just trying to hold my laptop together until i can get a new one.
