Has anyone heard of, or tried the ol' "put the battery in the freezer overnight" trick if it stops holding its charge?

I've got no battery to test, but some say it's a go.

I did have some success with this process my battery was only giving an hour tops so I did this and I now get around two hours before the alarm sounds on the laptop.
