I had a laptop that no longer works, the hard drive still works but I can not view or open all of my files. I can open the owner and guest files but my user files will not open. The hard drive runs on Windows Nt and my current computer runss with Windows XP. I have to hard drive link to my computer with a usb adapter, is there a way that I can open my old files. I keep getting the access denied pop up every time. I have tried sharing,and the EFs Data recovery program trial program. Please help any thing will be better than me pulling out my hair and banging my head on the monitior.
