Hey all I'm trying to find a 512MB RAM card for my laptop but its gotten a little complicated has anyone upgraded thier compaq presario V4000 cause I can't work out one which will be compatible with mine

You can check Crucial. They have a memory selector there. You can either enter the model or run a small program to identify the memory.

Hey how accurate is that sites system check it said my laptop has a extra RAM slot on it

I just ran the online scanner, and the only thing it could not pick up on was the support for dual channel with my desktop, this mite be becuase i have a custom built machine not an "off the shelf" pc.

Ok I was talking to some mates they said while I was trying to work out a game demo I downloaded that I may actually need to upgrade my video card is this as hard to replace as a RAM card?
