I have an old Compaq 6710b that I am setting up as a media server for a mate and am confused about adding USB 3.0 via a PCMCIA card. I read that USB 3.0 is not compatible with PCMCIA but yet I see what for sale what I think are compatible cards. Is this possible?

I think pcmcia is too slow for decent usb3, you need expresscard
