While this device has been on sale in America since 10th October and England for about two weeks, it still isn't available in New Zealand.

Noel Lemming have the Wifi version advertised on their website but nothing about the 4G version. I've even phoned them but didn't get anymore information.

Does any one have any information of availability, what's included in any package and price?

I visited all the major retailers this week and they're still selling the previous model - Samsung have chosen to recycle the model name and have simply added "2014".

Understandably, if they can sell old stock, then no need to release new stuff just yet.

This is the reply I've got from Noel Lemming:

At this point in time we are not expecting to receive any Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1' 2014 32GB 4G models. We are expecting to get the 16gb wi-fi models in on the 11th of November. The 16gb wi-fi models can be expanded to have up to 64gb of storage space with a micro sd card.

It misses the point about 4G. At least I now know that I'll need to wait a little while longer or order from abroad.

Id say the LTE version will be a while away, its not really for sale in most places

as for the WIFI, one of my suppliers says the ETA for them is mid November, and they dont even have product codes for the LTE ones yet

PB tech lists they have 5 in stock tho, probably parallel imported ones?

id like to get the snapdragon LTE one but maybe i will get the WIFI first and then switch later since its probably going to be a while

What have the reviews of the LTE-equipped model been like, compared to that of the wifi-only model?

The reviews I've read have all been of the wifi-only, and given that the two models use different processors (and that some of the criticisms in these reviews are around slow and choppy performance), it's important to consider the two models' performance seperately.

I'd been planning on purchasing an iPad Air, but thought I'd check out the alternatives, which (in terms of modern and LTE-euipped models, are pretty few in number), so I too would be keen to know when this will be available (and size for me isn't that critical, given the exapandability via SD). Has anyone tried contacting Samsung NZ directly to find out?

I don't see the issue as not all models are sold here in NZ of most things especially phones and tablets.

a 4G version wouldn't be the most wanted tablet I'm guessing but could be wrong

I'm sure you're right, in that demand will be low for the LTE models, and there's a good posibility that Samsung may not bother to bring them into the country. It's just that it would be nice to know either way what's happening; this way I can determine whether it's a vialbe option or not.

They are bringing the LTE version to NZ, they made a press release the other week confirming the LTE will be RRP of $1049 for NZ. And after asking after it in Noel Leeming last weekend, on Monday the store manager emailed me confirming he'd spoken to Samsung and said "Apparently it's going through cellular testing and we are hoping to have this sometime early December".

I really, really wish Samsung were better at giving proper information around new products. The NZ website didn't even mention the 2014 edition tablet until the other week, instead they were still showing banner ads about 'Note, the new way' referring to the old one. And they didn't even put their press release about the 2014 edition in the news section of their own website!

That's better information that I'll manage to get.

Has anyone found reviews of the LTE variant yet? They're selling it on Mobicity already.

I've read many of the wifi-only, and the comments re stuttering performance are almost universal. I noticed a bit of this when playing on this model at NL yesterday.

Should the performance of the LTE version be without these matters, we'd genuinely consider getting this over an iPad Air.

However, it's disappointing to see the lack of dedicated keyboard cases for the Note 2014, though; that said, perhaps using the stylus may mean a keyboard's not so useful?

Quite possibly there won't be stuttering, considering the LTE version is using a Snapdragon 800 processor versus the Exynos processor in the wi-fi only versions.

Hi guys,

Has anyone seen the 2014 Note 10.1 with 4G in the wild here yet? Pricespy tells me it's only at Parallel Imported etc.

I'm thinking it's probably going to be easier to just get a Tab 3 10.1 but I can't find any confirmation if the 10.1 comes with a phone dialer app.

Finally, NL have the unit I want advertised on their website. And it'll be available by mid December.
