Hi there, our macbook pro (3 months old) just died.
I presume it will be completely covered by warranty, but on the off chance my kids damaged it, where would you recommend I take it to get the most cost effective assessment etc. ?
Does any place in Auckland do free assessments like the Genius bars in the states ?

Thanks for any advice.

Call and lodge the issue with AppleCare first. At least then it's in the system when/if you need to get it repaired legitimately.
