Hi guys. My old laptop has been dead for a few years and I am finally going to get round to fixing it and then hopefully selling it off. From what I remember I needed to replace the CMOS battery. I had a quick look around on Trade Me and could only find loose ones however I think I need something like this...

http://www.amazon.com/CMOS-Battery-431436-001-COMPAQ-PRESARIO/dp/B005KOKK10

Cant find any on Trade Me. It is going to cost $17 to ship it here and I am not expecting anymore than $50 for my old laptop once I sell it so that would eat into my "profit". Any retailers here in NZ/Wellington have them?

My old laptop is a Compaq Presario F500.

Cheers

All you need is some heat-shrink (or just some insulation tape) and a 2032... get one with tabs and solder the wire on.
