Hey guys

So i have looked everywhere but my requirements cant be met! :/

I am looking for a laptop with the following:

- Modern/stylish/polished/thin(ish) design - basically not bulky
- Strong i7 cpu for a bit of gaming and 1080p multimedia
- 8gb - 16gb ram (16gb preferred)
- Mid range gpu for a bit of gaming and 1080p multimedia
- 1080p screen
- 256gb ssd
- 15inch or less screen

The closest that got to my specifications is the dell xps 15 for $3500. My budget is $2500 max and so thats too high. If it werent for the big ssd, and qhd screen then i am sure it would be $2500ish :P

Can anyone suggest one that meets my specificatons.

Your spec is straigthforward - the problem is your budget - particularly in NZ

i am thinkinh about importing the xps 15 from usa (bnhphotovideo.com) for $1750USD + $110USD shipping. Which turns out to be about $2250NZD. Its $250 cheaper than the price here in nz but i will probably get stung by gst which would be about $337 right?

Is there a way to get stung by gst less or something :P

cheers - i am kinda new to importing

If dell doesn't give international warranty you might want to think again

It might also be easier to find something if you exclude the large ssd from the requirements as you can probably purchase on separately and replace the mechanical hdd or disk drive.

The xps 15 is avaliable on the dell website for $2500 but there is a 8-9 week wait for delivery which is just a little too much :/
