Hi everyone,

My laptop won't start it comes up with a black screen and gives the following options to start windows:

      Safe Mode
      Safe Mode with Networking
      Safe Mode with Command Prompt

      Last Known Good Configuration

      Start Windows Normally

If any of the Safe Modes are selected it just comes up with the message below repeated about 20 times the last five are:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32\Drivers\MUD.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32\Drivers\aliml1541.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32\Drivers\amdagP.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32\Drivers\agp44u.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32\Drivers\agpCDQ.sys

If Last Known Good Configuration or Start Windows Normally are selected it begins to restart before a blue screen flashes and it returns
to the original screen with Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking etc etc.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

what was the last thing you did/changed/installed? i presume you have vista.

it sounds like the video drivers are corrupted. i suffered same prob. if last known configuration or system restore doesnt work it needs to be reformatted/reinstalled.
