Hi everyone.

I'm freaking out.

My Compaq CQ60-210TU is freezing randomly and I have no idea why.

I looked online, and people were saying just fresh install windows, but I've tried that 3 times with 2 different Windows 7 discs.

No luck.

Amazingly it isn't when I'm playing games. Not sure why.

The specs are

1.6GHz Dual Core Celeron
4GB Ram (upgraded from stock 2GB)
160GB Hard drive.

I am really worried, because we cannot afford another and I need one for schooling this year.

I really appreciate any help given. If you need more info, just let me know.

Thanks.

Well if it's happening when you're playing games it's likely over heating. Disassemble and clean all the crap out of the fan.

Yeah, I think I might. I'm sure I have some heatsink paste lying around somewhere.

I'm also running a memory test as we speak.
