Being a poor student, I recently bought a second-hand Dell D400 Latitude notebook off a friend thinking it had bluetooth and infared facilities.

I have tried to connect to both of these and they are not responding as they obviously are missing a driver or something. Installed on the computer is XP SP2 and i have looked in the Control panel to find how to control these but they are not even listed; it is like the notebook doesnt have bluetooth or infared yet I know that it does because all of the d400s had it come standard.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to try to get these to work??

Go to the Dell support site. From there, you can enter the laptops unique service tag. This will then give you access to the various downloads available for that model.

Or go straight here:
