Hi, I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon Ultrabook running Windows 8.1 and every time I plug in my AC charger, the clock speed of the ultrabook gets stuck at 0.60gHz. As soon I as unplug it, the laptop goes back to normal speed. I can feel the speed difference as well!

And I even tried setting the AC powered option to High Performance in the battery section as well, but still doesn't work - stuck at 0.60gHz.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a call to their support line might be due, or is it out of warranty?

Download the latest bios from their website for your system.
During installation it first checks whether you need to continue or not  (at least that's how they have worked for me on Thinkpads)

Have you had a go looking in the Lenovo Power Management software?  It might be on some weird profile which has set the performance down to a minimum for some reason.

Ok, thanks. Will try that now.

However, all of a sudden, the clock speed has seem to gone back to normal even when the AC adapter is plugged in now! That sure is weird!

It doesn't appear to have been installed!
