Hey guys,

I have a Acer E1-522 laptop, I have had it for a year.

Just recently I have been having a problem with the sound. The problem is that it says "No speakers or headphones are plugged in". After doing some googling, I have followed and done this so far:

In Device manager, I have disabled waited a few seconds and re enabled the sound stuff
Removed the drivers etc and installed the most latest drivers from Realtek
I have tried everything that I have come across in google
Rebooted my laptop x5

Last time this happened I ended up staying up 24 hours just reinstall windows and do all my updates etc. Now its happened again, I dont really want to be going through that crap again.

Can someone please please please help me, I really love gaming with sound.

If you reinstall windows next time take an image with Macrium Reflect Free so you can restore to that point easily. There should be a better way but you seem to have tried the most sensible things already. Have you checked it's not muted and the volume is up? Silly question but it's the kind of thing I'd do.

Yes, but it says that there is nothing in the playback list, im going to clean out my temp files, after removing the drivers and then I'm going to reinstall it again.

Ok how screwed up is this, I cleaned my temp files, I mean removed everything from there, and its helped. I have sound back :D.

Bad and incomplete driver installs are often fixed by deleting the temporary files. It's often a configuration fault which may also require registry changes to be reversed too.
