It seems that the Samsung SSD drives used in the Surface Pro 3 suffer from the same firmware bug that the Samsung 840 EVO has. The Samsung SSD used in the Surface is an OEM version of the 840 EVO. I've tried installing the Samsung Magician Software on my tablet but the drive is not recognised as a Samsung drive.

Does any of the Microsoft representatives know if an update will be released by Microsoft/Samsung for this issue?
