I am using a Surface Pro 3 and it's showing signs of something I suspect is a hardware fault...
Pushing the power button from completely off sometimes takes ten minutes to show the Windows login screen, with most of this time (say nine minutes 45 seconds) in the "Surface" logo. Once it starts it works for a few minutes before it shows a BSOD. The bugcheck is 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xffffe000b0113290, 0xffffd0002ce9b960, 0xffffe000b09c0810) "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE".
After this restart it will work ok for the rest of the time it's on. If I dare to shutdown then the process happens again.
It's obviously under warranty but seriously not happy at the prospect of having to get a new machine and reinstalling stuff...
