So my Laptop is currently in for repair, and if it can be fixed I am wondering how much it will be worth, ball park figure.

It is a HP DV6-7215TX. It will be 3 years old in December. It has general wear + tear such as fading on the touchpad. It does however still have the plastic still wrapped around it, although it is peeling. Also has a few cracks around the side of it, although quite small. Unsure whether it will come with a Hard drive, if it did it would be 1TB HDD.

I haven't seen anything listed on Trade Me, especially with a Blu-Ray drive, so its hard to say.

Specs:

15.6" Diagonal Full HD Anti-Glare Display
Blu-Ray Optical Drive (Guess that means it can play Blu-Rays, just not write?)
8GB Ram DDR3
Beats Audio Speakers
1TB HD (What it came with, unsure if I will put it back in, lets assume I do)
32GB SSD
Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor (2.4GHZ)
Nvidia Graphics Card. 730M I think

Ive seen some go as low as $200 with that same model.And some as high as $550

The hp dv6 has so many variants and because there are so many bidders just lump them all together and bidding reflects that i guess.

I'd guess $600 to someone who knows what it is and actually needs one. Maybe just a wee bit more.

I agree that $600 is more realistic and you could get a lot more because your system is much higher spec than the example above. $200 is totally unreasonable for what is not a low-end system.

I was looking at similarly specified models listing on Trade Me a month ago between $500 and a $1,000 and a lot don't have BluRay or a small SSD for that price. People were paying $500 for a lot less than what you're offering because a new quad core i7 a generation or two old will normally cost a minimum of $1000+ and with FullHD and dedicated graphics $1300+. Most with newer CPUs sell for much higher. So if say $1,500 new then what's the chance someone will pay $600-900 for a out of warranty system?

However, what it will actually sell for depends on where you try to sell it and how you present it. Also other info: What OS? What does it come with e.g. bag, mouse, docking station, etc.?

Yeah i wasnt actually meaning thats what it is worth.Was just saying i have seen one go that low.Im sure you could get $500
