My mate is in the market for an Ultrabook, he has had Laptops in the past, but wants to try an Ultrabook. His uses/needs/wants are pretty similar to my own.
He has a budget of $1000, but told him he probably needs to be spending more than that to get anything close to what he wants.
- Full HD Screen is a must
- 14" Screen would be preferred, but would settle for less
- Full HDMI port would be cool, but not necessary
- 128GB SSD is preferred, as he downloads quite a few Movies/TV shows
As mentioned above, his uses are pretty similar to my own. He uses his current laptop for Browsing (Multiple tabs open at once), Online Banking, Consuming Media (Spotify, Youtube, FanPass + Movies/TV shows in general). So something that could have a few programs open at once as well as some Internet Tabs, would be ideal
Doesn't really do any gaming, like me he has a PS4.
Told him to look at Lenovo, but those are out of his price range, even though they are special right now at some stores.
I see Mighty Ape has The Asus T300 on special right now. However the micro ports are putting him off as he doesn't own any adapters, doesn't want to carry them with him either.
Thoughts? Maybe save up more and buy a Lenovo?
