Hi Guys
Been thinking of upgrading Ram on my HP 15-ac014TU laptop from 4 to 8GB - looked on the net but the computer seems a little different in that it doesn't have a removable panel for the Ram. Can't find much at all on this model. This is an entry level laptop (Intel Pentium 3825U) so perhaps can't be upgraded?
Any thoughts please?

It probably is possible to upgrade however you would need to remove the whole bottom case if there is no RAM flap/cover.
Also may only have one RAM slot so that would mean you would need to remove the existing 4GB module and install an 8GB module.

This was the case with our HP Pavilion. Took about 35 minutes to remove the keyboard/trackpad, unhook and remove the motherboard and install the new ram in the 2nd slot. Took about 5 minutes to reassemble it all again. By far the most frustrating part was trying to get the keyboard off. Google your product, after a bit of digging I found instructions for a similar overseas model to ours which had a youtube video and step by step instructions - worked for ours with a bit of variation.

Looking at that, it appears there is only a single memory module and yes the whole bottom cover comes off to access the ram.

Thanks Guys - most likely a little mor involved than I was hoping, but looking at the clips, I think I will give it a try.

One other query though - how do I find the Ram type, the laptop is only 2 months old. I was looking at various online tech retailers but I'm confused as there seems several different type options for the Ram.

Based on the spec sheet above you need DDR3L-1600 RAM, to a max of 8GB/8192MB.

Be sure its a single stick of 8GB though, I've seen stores selling kits labelled 8GB or 16GB, but its actually 2 sticks with half the amount (this works out better if you can use both but in your case you can only fit 1).
