scottjpalmer: It's a lot cheaper (~$800) than the Vaio, 3 year covers everything warranty, 4GB vs 2GB, Ultimate vs Business, 128MB GFX vs 64MB which are all votes for the Dell.
It is a bit heavier and I hold Vaio in high regard for quality but Dell seem to be getting some great reviews these days and with all the other pro's above it's pretty much a one horse race!!!
