I've got the 2017 no model number surface pro.

Just thought I would mention I have just experienced the Random Shut down, often reported as a problem with the Pro's.

Fix = hold on/off button down for 30 seconds until it reboots.

Now time to wait to see how often it happens and a reminder to make sure backups are done.
