Just in case any of you are wondering, they are getting them back in stock. Aside from RAM they are a good buy at $2500 considering the technology you get. Its just a pain you have to buy the i7 to get 16GB ram, then it cost $800 for 8GB ram. Such is what they have to do to avoid OEM backlash. But still, IMO for the casual user 8GB is enough for a few more years and you get the gtx1050 and that brilliant screen and 17 hours on time and the best 2n1 available.

High tech and low cost. Id probabaly sell mine just as 8GB started to bottle neck gaming or day to day functions. I find its around 5GB now. My MSI ha 16 and sits around 30-40% when doing multiple desktop functions.

Although I have considered the AW13 with that AMAZING OLED 13" display, OMG its something else. $3k for the gtx1060 model.

Too help people. Michael Im a bit surprised at that comment.

They have been out of stock 6 months on the base unit. This is a laptop thread. Its an extremely popular laptop. I thought Id let other people know just in case they thought they were no longer selling it (which I read they were considering).

The point of sharing information is called a knowledgebase, the whole point of a forum is to be a community and help/share information.

Haha yes sorry, I was talking to my friend in Texas about it so were looking at .com not en-nz.

Its a shame they have to have the price so high to avoid OEM blow back as it really is a one of a kind device for people in design. Even doing solutions architecture, UX design etc its very helpful. Along with a samsung note (hopefully Andromeda this year) it goes nicely.

I think the HP spectre 15 would be the only thing close to it with the mx150? Its a shame the spectre 360 13 doesnt have the dGPU as they are gorgeous devices for design too.

I tried an iPad Pro 10.5 but it just didnt have the commercial productivity due to iOS, if it could run OSX I think it too would be great given that a11x chip is phenomenal for a mobile chip both in CPU and GPU and the 120HZ variable retina screen is dribble material. The Mrs wanted to keep it for herself just to watch Netflix content lol.

I just love the design of the MS surface line, even the Surface Pro is awesome. And Id LOVE a surface studio, but Id buy the ferrari first haha.

One thing Ive noticed is the Surface line on a lot of movies now and this TV show I was watching, the one about the Student who tries to save earth with the Billionaire guy by creating an EM pulse drive. Sorry I forget the name, but its good. But all Surface devices in it, not fruity machines.

Product placements in the movies/TV are awesome and expensive. Great to see its not just Apple doing this now.
